About Me
Hi guys, I’m John Mitchell and thanks for checking out my website. I have been playing golf for around 3 years and am by no means a superstar. Far from it in fact, but I have to say that I am very passionate about improving my golf. In the past it has just been about playing every now and then with friends but over the past 18 months I have been working hard to improve.
I used to shoot well over the 100′s but a few lessons and a bit of practice later I started shooting in the mid 90′s. Seeing real and quick improvement just fed my passion further and now I am desperate to continue to improve. I crawl the internet for ways to improve my game as consistency can still be a problem. Creaming a drive down the middle of the fairway on the 2nd and 3rd holes is a great feeling that often turns into frustration as I slice into the trees on the 4th. I now have myself into the high 80′s and my iron play has improved dramatically. I still need to work on my drive and my short game (especially my putting, although some drills I am using are helping me greatly).
I am here to share my journey and all the quality information I can find out there. I work with my golf teacher Scott to try and improve my game. He often gives me drills that I work on and I will always report those back to you so you can use them to help your own game. I will attempt to only post quality content (but i guess you will be the judge of that!) that will improve your golf. As I said, I am no expert and am not going to pretend that I am. What I will do is report back to every chance I get on ways to improve your golf.
I would love it if you could share your journey with me also and I will endevour to post it on the site. It would be great if there could be a community here where we can see each others improvements and frustrations. I think that would be a good thing. Anything you would like to contact me about I would love to hear from you.
If you would like to contact me for any reason feel free and you can do so by emailing me at: johnm7433@gmail.com

Great personal back story to your blog. I’m glad to hear you have improved your game after a few lessons (the practice is key!). Keep posting the great tips and info – your blog is a great resource.
great site – nice work. Loved the Phil bunker video. Wish I had seen it before my practice this afternoon.
thanks
I love this site – Thanks for taking the time to make it happen. I broke 80 for the first time in my life last month! I shot a 90 the day before, and the next 3 rounds after were all 85+. I have been on a similar journey. Cheers for being able to be humbled by the best game of all time.
Thats great news…..well done. Breaking 80 is a massive achievement. You are exactly right, it is an amazing game. There is nothing better than being out on the course on a nice day except for being out there on a nice day and playing the round of your life!
This material duplicates exactly what my teacher is telling me and is most valuable reinforcement, especially the video. I am taking up golf very late in life but still hope to become a competent golfer.
Many thanks.
Donald
Thanks Donald. Good luck with your golf and just keep persisting.
