So much is said about the golf body turn. People will talk to you about the correct spine angle and the best swing plane. Greg Norman talks in this video about how everyone’s body turn is different because there body is different. Some have more flexibility than other in their hamstrings or glutes. Essentially it is your anatomy that is going to dictate where your shoulders turn and Norman says that some people may even have a slight tilt in their swing. In order to improve golf you need to find out what your own body turn should be.


A good way of finding out what your body turn should be is to start without a golf club. Place your arms across your chest and then simply rotate. What you need to do is find out where you are the most comfortable. This position will be where you have no pressure. This is a drill that doesn’t require any golf swing trainers and can be done from the comfort of your own home. If you do this in front of a mirror you will be able to see what you rotation is when you feel the most comfortable. Once you find out what suits you the most you have the basis of a really good swing.
